Homemade Dairy-Free Vanilla Coconut Mango Smoothie Recipe

I have been making smoothies every morning for a little energy and vitamin boost while I'm at work.
I usually eat a small amount of granola type cereal like this (while I am aiming for gluten free most of the time for auto-immune reasons, I can handle a little gluten because I don't have an auto-immune disease that doesn't allow me gluten) or my favorite gluten free/ dairy free muffins  that I found on Pinterest recently and then around 10am start drinking my smoothie.
This combo keeps me full until lunch!

A lot of the time, I find that I need to adjust many of the recipes because they aren't tasting exactly right or they so very nicely jam up my Nutri-Ninja. After apologizing profusely to my Ninja on Monday morning, I vowed to make my own adjustments from now on. (The Ninja is fine in case you were concerned).

Here is my Dairy-Free Vanilla Coconut Mango Smoothie Recipe

1 cup Frozen Mango chunks (no sugar added is best!)
1 1/2 cup Coconut Milk (unsweetened)
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Coconut Water (I prefer Vita Coco but Zico is just as good)
1 scoop Vanilla Aria Protein (soy-free and vegan, no added sugar) *Optional*
Top with un-sweetened coconut shreds *Optional*

First, I used my Nutri Ninja Pro 900W.



Then I gathered the main ingredients...


Grabbed my favorite dairy-free, soy-free vanilla protein powder- you can buy here.

Put it all in the Ninja, make sure to do wet ingredients first, it's easier on the blade.



Lastly I added unsweetened coconut shreds as a topping!



Here is the final product:



I love blender bottles because most importantly they are BPA free, but also they have a metal shaker inside so if I wait a few hours to eat my smoothie, it will mix it all up again!
They are pretty cheap on Amazon.

This makes about 3/4 bottle.
